Families

When families participate in the arts together, these shared experiences create bonds, memories, and traditions that sustain an appreciation of the arts which lasts for generations. At SPAC, we offer interactive experiences with the arts that appeal to all members of the family, including family-oriented performances, events, and workshops.

Performances for Young Audiences

“A great way to build a future generation that appreciates classical music.”
-Parent Testimonial

Our mission to cultivate an appreciation for the classical arts in our community begins with our youngest and most impressionable audiences. Each summer, we present special morning and afternoon performances for families with young children that are designed to inspire the imagination and ignite the creative spirit.

Previous program offerings at SPAC have included:

The Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center’s “Meet the Music” program
The Philadelphia Orchestra’s “Sound All Around” program
“Story Time Concerts” with Project 440

Accessible Arts Programs

Every year, SPAC partners with our resident artists and other non-profit organizations to offer specialized, accessible arts exploration and discovery for artists of all ages and abilities.

Recent programming has included:

Double H Ranch

Artists who are part of SPAC’s summer residencies visit Double H every year to offer performances and classes to campers.  Past programs have included specialized dance classes with National Dance Institute, and performances with Wynton Marsalis and members of the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra as well as Time for Three.
